DJ’S/HOST
Our Team of DJ's/Host(s) for our Radio Shows.
Eric Summer | You Can't Spell 'Acerbic' Without Eric
Eric Summer has a Master’s in music performance from USC, which qualifies him for very little besides 1) performing music, and 2) never shutting up about it. Throughout his career (an archaic definition of the word, derived from the Huttese “Kar-Eeeeer, Ho-ho-ho-ho” meaning “to avoid work” or “to drink heavily”) he has played with famous musicians like Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, and Randy Newman. He has also performed the entire symphonic, chamber, and solo viola repertoire five or six times, or at least it feels that way. In addition to writing and playing with indie-rock juggernaut Get Set Go, he has played and recorded with many, many bands, including I Give Up, George Sarah, Adam Marsland’s Chaos Band, Bang Sugar Bang, Ozma, Silver Needle, Wormstew, New Maximum Donkey, Secret Powers, Rachel Van Slyke, Underwater City People, and the perennially-on-hiatus XUK. He also works in the video game industry as a paid grammar fascist.
Gregory Maratea | What's Left
Unsettled by the administration of George W. Bush and the march to war, in 2003, Gregory Maratea joined forces with Sam Toles to create a weekly political talk show on www.killradio.org, originally entitled, "The Other Side of Fair and Balanced". After Sam retired in late 2007, the show became "What's Left", and Greg turned to Liam Gowing to co-host coverage of Election Year 2008. After the election, "What's Left" moved to isgoodradio.com, with a new co-host, Steve Adams, and a new partial co-host, Dr. Katrina Miller. Greg is determined to ask the obvious question that is all too often obfuscated.
Jon Hershfield | "...IsGood" w/ Jon Hershfield
Jon began working as a dj in the local independent music scene in 2004 and quickly made a name for himself as a taste-maker for alternative audiophiles. In 2005 he began interviewing hand-selected local acts on his show “…IS GOOD” which broadcast from a DIY underground internet radio station, killradio.org. When word spread about the online promo opportunities inherent in his program, the radio show extended into a series of live events and the development of a digital archive of info on local indie artists. Jon has a degree in drama from NYU and a masters in clinical psychology, contributing to his ability to draw depth into his interviews, a quality which has been noted in coverage by LA.com, The LA Weekly, Radio Free Silverlake, Web In front, Performer Magazine and other music press. His collaboration with business partner Surjayan Mitra and a team of players in the indie community has lead to the realization of ISGOODMUSIC.COM and ISGOODRADIO.COM.

She enjoys international travel and medical work and most recently worked in Tanzania before she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.
MAUREEN SHAMPINE | Cut and Reel
Maureen Shampine has studied film all over the place, and has learned from the best the medium has to offer…and a few of the worst too. After deciding going to film school and making movies wasn’t really her biz, she decided she’d definitively deliberate on others’ would-be creative celluloid endeavors, though none of her studies really qualify her to officially render such deliberations. What does qualify her, however, is her earnest need for ultimate escapism that outshines the hackneyed plots, trite character renderings, and sloppy writing that much of Hollywood churns out due to the meager expectations of the average moviegoer. Dubbed an “indie film elitist” by no one worth mentioning, she contends that she fairly renders deliberations of her cinematic experiences. Shampine also contends that she has never walked out of a bad film, but hopes the filmmakers who made her contemplate walking out of their god-awful film/gnaw off appendages, meet their karma.
Sarah Longueuiel | What's So Funny?
Sarah is a California native and was born into the southern California music scene. She began her love of radio while working at Saddleback College’s KSBR in Orange County. She was also a legendary supporter of Indie 103.1 promoting and attending as many shows and events as possible with the stations official street team. She’s now worked her way to Hollywood, and is currently a production assistant on "The Cleveland Show". Sarah began her own show, “What’s So Funny?” on www.isgoodradio.com based out of Los Angeles in September of 2009. She loves lip gloss and food...and spends her free time organizing Girl Scout troops to systematic world domination through cookie sales.
Siria Contreras | Ammunition
TRAffIK (www.intraffik.com) creator Siria Contreras is a firm believer that ordinary conversations can result in extraordinary collaborations. Siria calls on experience working with venues (while putting on local music nights, Buzzplay.com Presents/The Couch Night/Club Audio/Kiss or Kill Club & SXSW/CMJ Showcases), music video directors (Propeller Productions), and record labels (Kung Fu Records/Victory Records) all the while trying to balance a professional (Media Vision/Variety/iHollywood Forum/NBCSkycastle) and social life (shots!!!). This experience has given Siria an insider's understanding of the way not only the music industry, but the entertainment industry as a whole comes together as well as a respect for those who put to use their multi-tasking skills continuously by putting ideas into motion from behind the scenes. When not busy avoiding sleep and parallel parking, Siria can be found giving in to her addiction of acquiring new dresses, can a girl ever have enough?
Steve Adams | What's Left
Steve Adams - Creative. Steve Adams - Pensive. Steve Adams - Perspective. Steve Adams - Artist. Steve Adams - Philosopher. Steve Adams - Sgt. Hulka. Steve Adams - Yves St. Laurent. Steve Adams - Decider. Steve Adams - Me. Steve Adams - You. Steve Adams - All of the Above. Steve Adams - None of the Above. Steve Adams - Above all Else Steve Adams - Amen.
THE PEOPLE WHO DO THAT | National Corporate Radio News
NCR consists of three regular cast members: Kimberley Mooney, a no good, hooch swilling, pie thieving, tart tongued harpy who spends her spare hours in development for Disney; Miles Hindman, that guy across the street that keeps stealing your ideas and turning them into critically acclaimed plays and dazzling animation scripts; and Derek Iversen, a staff writer for SpongeBob SquarePants, the inventor of the microwave gun and, ironically, some kind of environmentalist.
Todd and Nigel | a nice cuppa tea
Todd and Nigel from tunnelmental experimental assembly are experimenting with the radio. Expect the unexpected!
